OneRoof Inc.’s Eric Spector payed a visit to the CyberCafePro forum on January 7, 2010 to give the users of CyberCafePro an update. The major update involved the status of CyberCafePro Version 6. CyberCafePro user will be excited to known the release is “just days” away.
He used the opportunity to publically address questions received from a long time CCP user. Below is an excerpt of the forum post from Eric Spector.
“1) When will this new version be released?”
* OneRoof CyberCafePro 6.0 will be released prior to the end of this month — and probably mid-January.“2) What has been the delay?”
* It was originally our goal to release the new version on December 1, 2009. We decided to test the product in many of our former centers in India and Mexico before the release to ensure quality. Quality and ease of use is a top priority.“3) What fixes can we expect?”
We have been testing all features in 6.0 with the aim that they all work seamlessly. Many are also new –which will be part of our announcement (and be featured on an all-new CyberCafePro.com website when we go live). We are not however perfect. But rest assured, we aim to be the very best product on the market — and that means responding to your feedback and needs in a timely manner.“4) What versions of Windows (and other O/S’s) can we expect CCP to run on. Will that include 64bit versions.”
* Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7. 64 bit versions are also supported.“5) Apart from the reporting (which seems to be the major change) what other new things can we expect?”
* Your users will soon have access to the Windows Start button and Desktop (though fully protected, as usual with CCP on all Clients). It means a more normal experience for the users. If they are taking a Computer Literacy course, for instance, they can follow along. No more “artificial shells” within which they access the computers. More to be announced soon. Stay tuned to the Forums or cybercafepro.com mid-month. (You will clearly recognize when our new site has gone live).“6) Will the support and and care be there??”
* We have taken measures to have support return to where it once was. OneRoof has a staff of professional developers and personnel. We also have added Kevin Klimack (Mack) to provide support on the forums and publish blog articles. Kevin is well known around here (CCP Product Manager 2000 to 2008). In addition, our revised (and soon-to-be-launched) Q&A, Forums, and Blogs will be rich sources for you to get answers and help.“7)Will you listen and develop in favor of the clients requests for improvement/additions??”
* We will listen to our customers. Our customer feedback is crucial for our success. Our support staff will report to management and development staff on what customers have suggested and commented on.“8) Is it worth waiting any longer for this new version or should we be looking at other Software??”
* It is worth the wait for the new version. Anyone who does not wait will regret it. But it is also moot, in fact, as we are talking about just days left until 6.0 is released. A free 30 Day Trial to OneRoof Reports will also be offered to all. Some of the best news will be announced when we go live. There will also be a very unique Income Opportunity for our more entrepreneurial users (also to be announced when we go live).
